WHAT'S NEW
CARES ADOPTION CLINIC NOW OPEN!!!!
We have realized phase one of our goals!!! We have opened CARES Adoption Clinic!!! We can house up to 35 dogs at this point and already have expansion on the table!!! What we need now, to maintain this facility is 100 sponsors who could donate $10.00 per month to CARES. This would fund the necessary expenses that will be incurred on caring for these loving pets while they wait for caring families. The expenses we incurr include shots, medical treatment if necessary, flea dip, grooming, food and treats. We do get most of our food donated from Walmarts, KMarts, and several other local businesses. Lowes has helped us tremedously on the supplies we have needed to build this shelter. Big rounds of applause for the help they continue to give to CARES! We are really excite about the opening of the clinic! Check out our newspaper article on the photos page, we made FRONT PAGE of the Sylvania Telephone!!!
501c3 Status
Kudos to Ms. Evelyn Hubbard, Atty., for finding the time to assist CARES in filing for our non-profit status under the 501c3 umbrella. As busy as she is, she still makes her skills and talents available to us! At current writing, we have filed and are awaiting the return from the Secretary of State.
